Estimating

Our Estimating services can vary depending on the information provided, as well as information you require. Extensions or new build bespoke homes, refurbishments, loft conversions, can all be priced. Ideally we would be provided with a set of detailed drawings and a specification, or well annotated detailed drawings, so the plans provide us with as much information as possible. We understand, through the nature of building that this isn’t always possible, so when this is the case, we will use our experience and put together a quote and qualify the price, based on what we have allowed.

J C M S have a large database of rates and descriptions based on previous work. As standard, when we have priced a job for you, you will receive:

• A detailed estimate, on a spreadsheet format, showing quantities, costs, labour, material and overheads and profit.
• A list of qualifications and Provisional Sum items where deemed necessary
• Links or information gained to price certain items.
• All documents will be emailed to you for you to edit, to allow you to price any variations, or changes when information becomes available.

If you are successful in winning the tender, JCMS will also be able to assist in setting up the administration of the project between you and the client. This includes such items  as stage payments and any pre-contract meetings, programme discussions and agreeing the process in terms of any variations or extras.
